Chinese-ish

Rosheen Kaul and Joanna Hu

Born from innovation and new traditions, this book explores the best of not quite authentic, 100% delicious home cooked Chinese food.

As immigrants with Chinese heritage, Kaul and Hu spent much of their lives trying to choose between clinging to the traditional comfort of their parents’ varied culinary heritage or attempting to assimilate by learning to love mashed potatoes. What they decided, and what led to the creation of this wonderful book, was to forge a new path where flavor and the freedom to choose trumped authenticity. The spirit of Chinese-ish allows you to take what you love and reject what doesn't work for you. You’ll find a bounty of delicious Chinese-influenced dishes from all over South-East Asia. Join this class to experience food that blends the beauty of traditional with the creativity of modern.
